st Johns in St John, st john
Nicola qualified as a dental surgeon from University College Hospital London in 1986. After qualifying she initially worked in general practice in South
Devon and then more recently in the Kettering area in the Midlands.
During the 13 years she worked in Kettering she also pursued an interest in
orthodontics by working part-time as a clinical assistant in the Orthodontic Department of Northampton General Hospital. While there she completed the East of England extended orthodontic training course. This involved providing fixed and removable orthodontic appliances or "braces" for
patients. She is continuing her interest in Orthodontics by providing Orthodontic treatment here at "The Dental Room".
She has also a particular interest in treating children and providing preventative advice and treatments. She believes that prevention is better
than cure and that good dental habits should ideally be encouraged and acquired at an early age.
Nicola is married with two children. Her son was born in Jersey when they lived in the island for a short period some years ago. Both children are
settling in to their new life in Jersey. She enjoys being back in Jersey and will be able to partake of her interests in walking to enjoying the scenery and the many historic sites in Jersey. If time allows she will also enjoy returning to painting and drawing.
Nicola has been enjoying providing dental treatment for patients at "The Dental Room" in St John since she began here in January 2008.
